Dimensional accuracy

The figure and tables shown below indicate the typical dimensional tolerances achievable in a sintered part.

For the correct interpretation of these data, it is important to highlight that:

  •  These tolerances can be affected by the geometry of the component, the type of material and the manufacturing process (sintering conditions and/or complementary operations).

Please consult our Technical Department for analysis of designs, suggestions for improvement, and allocation of final tolerances:

  •  In self-lubricating bearings, dimensional accuracy in diameter improves up to IT 5-7.
  •  In high temperature sintered materials, such as stainless steels, some soft magnetic materials and certain structural steels, dimensional accuracy is adversely affected by one IT, especially in diameter.
