Participation and continuous improvement

AMES is considered a leader in the implementation and management of Participation and Continuous Improvement Programs and has received several accolades and awards from business and industry organizations.

Continuous improvement and innovation are possible only with the collaboration of all people forming part of the company, contributing their know-how, intelligence, experience and knowledge to improve the market positioning and competitiveness of AMES. Therefore, in order to optimize and properly channel all this energy, since 1985 AMES has had a Participation and Continuous Improvement Program in the field of Total Quality in order to encourage, collect and manage the greatest possible number of improvements. The participation program is divided into several channels, which are currently the Quality Circles, Ideas for Improvement, Task-Force Groups, Purchased Input Concept Optimization (PICOS), Lean Production and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). These improvements can enhance daily performance of both our productive and our administrative processes in ergonomics, safety, environmental impact, reliability and productivity.

The Quality Circles are particularly important because of their voluntary nature, based on teamwork, continuity in time and total freedom in self-management. Thanks to the existence of more than 75 quality circles, which include 70% of the people of AMES, over 4,000 Ideas for Improvement are applied annually, representing more than 4 contributions per person.
